Chris started home-brewing all the way back in 2008, and the rest is history. Beer took over and he’s never looked back. With his strong passion for brewing high-quality beers, Eighty-Three brewery was born, in 2019, to provide Akron, Ohio, with a brewery that would satisfy his level of quality.
Our brewery found its home in the historic Goodyear building just outside of downtown Akron. And yes, we are located on the first floor of the original headquarters. You’ll find us right next to the Goodyear Theater and LaBelle’s Barber Parlor.

We wanted the interior of our brewery to feel modern, clean and welcoming. When you visit us for the first time you’ll notice it doesn’t feel like your typical brewery space, and we hope you enjoy our brewery as much as we do.
